Based on Developmentally Appropriate Practices, our educational program starts in the infant room, is included with normal tuition for all children, and progresses with each child into our PreK 4 classroom. Our primary aim is to ensure that all children are ready for Kindergarten as defined by the standards set forth by the LA Dept. of Education.

Curriculum to fit their developmental level. Classrooms are designed for children to explore and make choices about their play. We make sure children have access to a wide variety of fun and educational toys.

All two year old classrooms are set up with unique learning centers that encourage children to be self-sufficient while fostering an understanding of basic concepts.

We allow for homework time when the children return to the center in the afternoons. Some families prefer children to get their energy out and save their homework for home. Other families have busy schedules and extracurricular activities and find it helpful for children to get a head start on their homework.
Learn MoreEach classroom is equipped with lots of games, activities, and free space for the kids to make independent decisions on what they want to play. We offer a range of outdoor activities and games to indoor crafts, art, and movies. Given the choice to make their own decision, children in this age group enjoy summer camps much more than traditional group care.

🚒🔥 A BIG thank you to our Central Fire Department for stopping by FELC!
Our students had such a great time meeting our hometown heroes, exploring the fire truck, learning about fire safety, and asking lots of great questions. Experiences like these help children become more familiar with community helpers while teaching important safety lessons in a fun, hands-on way.

✨ What a fun-filled week at FELC! ✨
We’ve been making memories, exploring new experiences, and learning through play every step of the way!
🐶 Our children had a special visit from therapy dogs, giving them the opportunity to practice gentle interactions while enjoying lots of cuddles and smiles.
🐐 Today, our Blue, Yellow, and Purple classrooms enjoyed an unforgettable goat yoga experience with some adorable furry friends! It was the perfect combination of movement, laughter, and hands-on fun. Old Rusty Gate Farm
🫧 Our Blue Room also explored chia seed slime, engaging their senses while strengthening fine motor skills and encouraging curiosity through play.
💚 You’ll also see a few snapshots of our infants and Green Room hard at work exploring and creating in their classrooms. Every room at Fundamentals is filled with meaningful learning experiences tailored to each age and stage!
